MATTIA TORRE – 456
456 è la storia comica e violenta di una famiglia che, isolata e chiusa, vive in mezzo a una valle oltre la quale sente l’ignoto. Padre, madre e figlio sono ignoranti, diffidenti, nervosi. Si lanciano accuse, rabboccano un sugo di pomodoro lasciato dalla nonna morta anni prima, litigano, pregano, si odiano. Ognuno dei tre rappresenta per gli altri quanto di più detestabile ci sia al mondo.
E tuttavia occorre una tregua, perché sta arrivando un ospite atteso da tempo, che può e deve cambiare il loro futuro.
Tutto è pronto, tutto è perfetto. Ma la tregua non durerà.

456 nasce dall’idea che l’Italia non è un paese, ma una convenzione. Che non avendo un’unità culturale, morale, politica, l’Italia rappresenti oggi una comunità di individui che sono semplicemente gli uni contro gli altri. Per precarietà, incertezza, diffidenza e paura; per mancanza di comuni aspirazioni. In ogni caso siamo soli, e siamo in lotta.
456 è una commedia che racconta come proprio all’interno della famiglia – che pure dovrebbe essere il nucleo protettivo e aggregante, di difesa dell’individuo – nascano i germi di questo conflitto: la famiglia sente ostile la società che gli sta intorno ma finisce per incarnarne i valori più deteriori, incoraggiando la diffidenza, l’ostilità nei confronti degli altri, il cinismo, la paura.
456 racconta la famiglia come avamposto della nostra arretratezza culturale.

Dallo spettacolo è stato tratto un sequel televisivo andato in onda su La7 all’interno del programma “The show must go off” di Serena Dandini ed ora disponibile sul web. Ogni episodio un frammento di realtà, divertente e ironico ma, allo stesso tempo, tragico e drammaticamente attuale.

Girato a Chiaravalle (An) presso il Teatro Valle e ad Ancona presso il Teatro Sperimentale.
Mattia Torre è nato a Roma nel 1972. Insieme a Giacomo Ciarrapico è autore delle commedie teatrali “Io non c’entro” “Tutto a posto” “Piccole anime” e “L’ufficio”. Nel 2000 pubblica il libro “Faleminderit Aprile ‘99 in Albania durante la guerra”. Nel 2001 cosceneggia il film “Piovono Mucche” di Luca Vendruscolo. Nel 2003, il suo monologo “In mezzo al mare” con Valerio Aprea vince al Teatro Valle di Roma la rassegna “Attori in cerca d’autore”. Nel 2005 scrive e dirige il monologo teatrale “Migliore”, con Valerio Mastandrea. È tra gli autori del programma “Parla con me” di Serena Dandini. Con Ciarrapico e Vendruscolo scrive la serie televisiva “Buttafuori” e, dal 2007, la prima, la seconda e la terza stagione della serie televisiva “Boris”, per Fox Italia. Con gli stessi autori, scrive e dirige “Boris – il film”, prodotto da Wildeside e da Raicinema. Nel 2011 scrive e dirige lo spettacolo teatrale “4 5 6”, di cui realizza anche il sequel tv in onda su La7, nel programma di Serena Dandini e Andrea Salerno “The Show Must Go Off”, e il libro omonimo edito da Dalai.

456 is the comic and violent history of a close-minded family living in its own bubble, unaware of what there is outside of the valley where they live. All the family members, father, mother and son are ignorant, distrustful, nervous. They blame on one another, continuing to cook a tomato sauce “inherited” from the grandmother who died several years ago. They continue to argue, pray, hate each other: each one of them represents for the other the most unbearable thing alive.
Anyway they now need a break: a very long-awaited guest is coming and he can and has to change their future. Everything is ready, everything is flawless. But the break won’t last.
456 now is also a mini-fiction, broadcasted within the programme “The show must go off” by Serena Dandini. There’s a bit of present in each episode, funny and ironic but, in the meanwhile, tragically and dramatically real.

456 comes from the idea that Italy is not a country anymore, but it’s a convention. Split from the cultural, morale and political point of view, Italy is nowadays just a community of persons who are one against another. Maybe is for the insecurity, uncertainty, distrust and fear, or it’s for a lack of common ambitions. Anyway we’re alone and we’re struggling.
456 is a comedy which tells about a family. The family should be the defensive shelter of a person, but actually is right inside the family that this conflict starts to put down the roots. The family feels the society around them as unfriendly, but it ends up with assuming all the worst values, feeding the distrust, the hate for the others, the cynicism, the fear.
456 tells the family as the outpost of our cultural backwardness.

From the show was made a television sequel aired on La7 within the program “The show must go off” by Serena Dandini and now available on the web. Each episode is a fragment of reality, funny and ironic, but at the same time, tragic and dramatically present.

Shot in Chiaravalle (An) at Teatro della Valle and in Ancona at Teatro Sperimentale.
Mattia Torre was born in Rome in 1972. Together with Giacomo Ciarrapico he’s the author of the comedies “Io non c’entro”, “Tutto a posto”, “Piccole anime” and “L’ufficio”. In 2000 he published the book “Faleminderit Aprile ’99 in Albania durante la guerra”. The year after he cooperated with Luca Vendruscolo for the drafting of the screenplay of the film “Piovono Mucche”. He participated and won the theatre festival “Attori in cerca d’autore”(2003) at Teatro Valle in Rome, thanks to his monologue “In mezzo al mare” with Valerio Aprea. Two years later he wrote and directed the monologue “Migliore” with Valerio Mastandrea. He’s also one of the authors of “Parla con me” a programme with Serena Dandini. Torre began to work together with Ciarrapico and Vendruscolo focusing on tv and cinema: they wrote the tv series “Buttafuori”, then, from 2007, they created the tv series “Boris” for Fox Italia up to the 3rd season, ending with the writing and the production of “Boris-il film”, produced by Wildeside and Raicinema.
In 2011 he created and directed the theatrical piece “4 5 6”, directing also a tv sequel broadcasted on La7 (The show must go off) and writing the book published by Dalai.
