Bestierare is a rap band from Roma who writes and produces by themselves their music and lyrics; the band has made demo, ep, many concerts and two discs (Precario and Come un Animale), both of them are in free circulation on internet: their favorite medium.

The Roman band offers to the audience a unique rap (they named it “self-produced stuff”) “a kind of music between punk and starling, more than American hip hop”, which will sweep away the audience with nipping rhythm and lyrics. Bestierare thinks that Rap is a medium of free expression, far from the clichés, it’s ironic and unmediated, an authentic filter through which the group looks at things. The texts take care of social problem, homeless struggle, unemployed, precarious workers, students, immigrants, victims of violence, convicts position.

Autoproducono le loro basi e i loro testi; all’attivo hanno demo, ep e numerose partecipazioni, oltre a due dischi (Precario e Come un Animale), entrambi in libera e gratuita circolazione su Internet: il loro mezzo di diffusione preferito. Il loro nome è Bestierare, band romana composta da tre voci – er Para, Elio, er Plag – e Dj Drugo, uno dei più noti dj della scena hip hop italiana, che propone un singolare rap  nostrano “tra punk e stornello, più che hip hop americano”, che travolgerà il pubblico con ritmo e testi taglienti.

Lontano dai cliché, ironico e senza mediazioni, per Bestierare e Dj Drugo il rap (definito anche “Roba AutoProdotta”) è un mezzo di libera espressione, la griglia autentica attraverso la quale osservare e raccontare la società: i testi parlano delle lotte dei senza casa, dei disoccupati, dei precari senza garanzie, degli studenti, degli immigrati, di chi è nei penitenziari e delle vittime di violenza.
