IFA – InteatroFestival Academy è il programma di perfezionamento artistico e ricerca a carattere residenziale promosso e fondato nel 2006 da Inteatro, Ente di Promozione della Danza, per permettere occasioni di incontro e confronto tra giovani performer e artisti affermati sulla scena internazionale.
Giunto alla sua VI edizione, IFA si rinnova e propone una nuova formula: tre diversi workshop condotti da tre artisti che svilupperanno, ognuno con i propri metodi di lavoro e linguaggi scenici, tematiche differenti e che affiancheranno i partecipanti nell’ideazione e nello sviluppo di propri progetti personali.
Al termine di ogni workshop, l’artista/mentor selezionerà un massimo di due progetti che verranno prodotti e presentati nell’ambito della XXXIV edizione Festival Internazionale Inteatro (Polverigi, 28 giugno>2 luglio 2011). Un’occasione per far nascere il proprio progetto a livello performativo e mostrarlo al pubblico e agli operatori del Festival. I costi della presentazione saranno a carico dell’organizzazione.
Gli workshop saranno condotti da Geraldine Pilgrim (dal 18 aprile al 1 maggio), Gustavo Frigerio (dal 16 al 29 maggio), Cláudia Dias (dal 30 maggio al 12 giugno).
Per ogni workshop saranno ammessi a partecipare al programma un massimo di 12 artisti / performer di età compresa tra i 18 e i 35 anni, di differenti nazionalità, che desiderino affrontare un periodo di ricerca attorno ad un tema specifico in funzione di loro future creazioni.
E’ possibile candidarsi ad uno o più workshop; è indispensabile la conoscenza della lingua inglese.
Per la partecipazione agli workshop, si richiede un contributo a copertura dei costi di frequenza, assicurazione, alloggio, spazi di lavoro e di studio.
Le candidature dovranno pervenire entro:
martedì 15 marzo 2011 presso gli uffici di Inteatro (Villa Nappi Via Marconi 77 60020 Polverigi An – I, ifa@inteatro.it) e dovranno includere:
lettera motivazionale con breve argomentazione sugli artisti/mentor prescelti;
curriculum vitae completo di contatti;
un progetto di ricerca che il candidato vorrebbe sviluppare durante la residenza (lunghezza massima: 2 fogli A4); materiali video, testi e foto di lavori precedenti utili a comprendere il percorso formativo e creativo del candidato.
Sono ammesse solo le candidature e le presentazioni dei progetti redatte nelle seguenti lingue: italiano, inglese, francese; i materiali ricevuti non verranno restituiti.
La commissione artistica effettuerà una selezione sulla base dei materiali pervenuti e i risultati saranno comunicati entro il 25 marzo.

In its sixth edition, IFA proposes a new formula: three different workshops led by three artists who will propose their own working methods and scenic languages, helping the participants developing their own artistic trajectories. At the end of each workshop, the artist/mentor will select a maximum of two projects that will be presented in an Open Lab section within the International Inteatro Festival of Polverigi (June 28th > July 2nd ). The costs of the presentation will be at the expenses of the organization.
The three workshops will be led by Geraldine Pilgrim, designer and director, (from April 18th to May 1st), Gustavo Frigerio, director and actor, (from May 16th to 29th), Cláudia Dias, choreographer and dancer (from May 30th to June 12th). It is possible to apply for one or more workshops.
Each workshop has 12 vacancies for young artists/performers aged between 18 and 35 years, of different nationalities, who want to gain experience in research and training for the development of their practice. To participate in the workshop(s), we require a fee to cover the costs of the attendance, lodging, work and study spaces.
Participants may be awarded with a scholarship provided by Inteatro on the bases of their CV and skills (more infos about will be given on the audition day).
Applications must be arrived to Inteatro offices by March 15th, 2011: date as postmark is not valid (this date replaces the previously announced deadline).

Applications must include:
letter of application with a brief argument about the artist/mentor(s) you want to work with;
curriculum vitae, including personal details (name, surname, address, telephone, email);
a research project proposal that the candidate would like to develop during the residency.
It is possible to add video materials, texts, and photos of previous works that may be useful in understanding the candidate’s training and creative experience.
Application can be submitted in Italian, English or French. The received applications will not be returned.
The artistic committee will make a selection by the submitted materials and results will be announced by the 25th march.
The jury reserves the right not to comment on its decision.
